About us
The King of Harlem publishing project was born in southern Spain as a result of a night's rumor when spoons creaked, echoing the tragedy.
Fortunately, from the infinite love we have for literature, that night we reread Federico García Lorca for the umpteenth time and we understood that that they are from our favorite poem He cried out for the oppressed to raise their voices.
That's why we decided to let the blood of Harlem and all otherness become in ink once again and that this house be the space where the literature of silence can develop without feeling the threat of the crowd of headless suits.
Our primary goal is to be a critical publishing house, focused on giving voice to those who are unheard and bringing to the table the dialogues that no one wants to hear about.
We are interested in social issues from the point of view of intersectionality, because we want to be the south wind that carries/ fangs, sunflowers, alphabets.
For this reason, we're not restricted to any genre, because we understand that each social sector has its own codes, and we're not the ones to close the door to creativity.
Our hallmarks are the ethical code of equality and literary quality. We were born with the dream of renewing canons and deconstructing everything, of ending the oblivion of that otherness of otherness that implies not being among the highest peaks.
The King of Harlem will live up to his name and in his janitor's suit It will show that, to create literature, it is best to work on it and not elevate it in a false dawn with columns of mud.
That's why our catalog will be built with a polyphonic choir of voices whose ultimate goal is to restart a more just, more humane, and more beautiful place. In short, to make the world a better place.
